Job Summary

The Jr. Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing a high volume of inbound calls related to mental health treatment. They actively listen to callers, assess their situation, and determine the suitability of our treatment centers. Additionally, the Jr. Admissions Coordinator addresses inquiries, addresses concerns, and recommends appropriate services. If the caller is a suitable candidate, the coordinator facilitates their admission. Individuals seeking entry into the mental healthcare field, including recent college graduates, are encouraged to apply.

Previous healthcare or phone experience is not required, as comprehensive training and supervision are provided to new Jr. Admissions Coordinators during their initial 45 days. The training covers various aspects, including medical and clinical terminology, electronic health record management, phone systems, and best practices for phone consultations.

This role offers exposure to a diverse range of mental health patient profiles, as Jr. Admissions Coordinators engage with thousands of potential patients and their families across Canada. Callers represent various socioeconomic statuses, age groups, and mental health conditions, such as borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, PTSD, panic attacks, marital problems, anger management issues, personality disorders, ADD, ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adolescent behavioral problems, and more.

Success in this position hinges on excellent communication skills, compassion, strong customer, service abilities, self-motivation, and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
