WinstonBrock Recruitment, on behalf of our Niagara based client, is seeking a Controller to manage the day-to-day financial function of the organization.

Location: On-site, Regular office hours
Compensation: Competitive Salary, bonus opportunity, excellent benefits package and RRSP matching
Job Type: Ful Time, Permanent

Key Accountabilities:
Oversee daily operations of the accounting department;
Mentor and guide the payroll clerk and AR Clerk/Office Manager;
Perform monthly bank reconciliations, oversee corporate finance management, and handle foreign exchange transactions as required;
Develop detailed forecasts and budget proposals for company leadership;
Engage in enhancing financial controls, formulate and implement uniform budgeting, accounting practices, and internal control measures;
Coordinate year-end financial audit processes, including preparing financial statements and related documentation;
Supervise bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing, manage year-end T4 preparation and end-of-year database upkeep;
Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations;
Administer employee pension plans, health insurance, and short-term disability benefits;
Continuously update and expand professional expertise through self-improvement and professional development activities.
Requirements:
Completion of post-secondary education in accounting with a CPA qualification being advantageous;
A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management, specifically in a financial leadership capacity;
Skilled at building cooperative relationships with management, support staff, and clients;
Self-motivated and focused on outcomes, capable of balancing multiple priorities and managing a high-volume workload within established deadlines.
