We are currently looking for a Ready Mix AZ/DZ Driver to join our growing team


Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, the Ready Mix AZ/DZ Driver will be responsible for operating a tractor hauling a float trailer holding heavy construction machinery.


Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


  1. Safely operate a concrete truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites.

  2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.

  3. Load and unload concrete materials as required.

  4. Follow specific instructions for each delivery, including the correct mixture, quantity, and placement of concrete.

  5. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and quantities delivered.

  6. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and professional interactions with construction site personnel.

  7. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.

  8. Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

  9. Responsible for the maintenance of the equipment as per Forest Contractors Ltd.’s maintenance practices and procedures as well as manufacturers specifications.

  10. Following all applicable Federal (i.e., Transport Canada), Provincial (i.e., MTO) and local/jurisdictional legislation including but not limited to logbooks, weight restrictions, cargo securement and Highway Traffic Act regulations.

  11. Other duties as requested by the Operations Staff.

Qualified candidates will possess:


  1. Valid Class DZ driver's license with an air brake endorsement.

  2. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Concrete Truck Driver or similar role.

  3. Clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents.

  4. Solid knowledge of concrete mixing and pouring procedures.

  5. Familiarity with construction sites and an understanding of safety regulations.

  6. Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and construction site plans.

  7. Strong communication and customer service skills.

  8. Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and operating equipment as needed.

  9. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.
