Anderson Cooper's Fate at CNN Revealed

Anderson Cooper’s Fate at CNN Revealed

Posted on 9 December 2025 By jobuzo

Anderson Cooper isn’t signing off just yet.

The longtime CNN journalist has signed a new contract with the cable news network, extending his 24-year career with the network, according to multiple reports.

E! News has reached out to a rep for Anderson for comment and has not yet heard back. CNN declined to comment.

After joining the network in 2001, Anderson launched the daily news program Anderson Cooper 360 in 2003—which still runs today—and the once-weekly The Whole Story in 2023. He also hosts the podcast and streaming series All There Is—which focuses on grief and has featured notable conversations with Stephen Colbert and Whoopi Goldberg—and the annual New Year’s Eve Live show alongside Andy Cohen.

Over the years, Anderson has been vocal about his passion for journalism and why he continues to pursue the career.

“I consider it a great privilege of my life that I’m able to still go to places and tell people’s stories,” he said in 2016 while accepting a lifetime achievement award from Yale, his alma mater, “and to bear witness to the struggle of people who are trying to live good and decent lives in the midst of chaos and war and disaster.”
