Two arrested by police after reports of shooting at Bondi Beach

Two people are in custody at Bondi Beach, New South Wales Police says.

But it adds that its operation remains ongoing and the public should stil “avoid the area”.

The force adds:

“Please obey ALL police directions. Do not cross police lines.”

In a social media post, the force shared the update before adding that anyone at the scene should take shelter.

It went on to say:

“Police are responding to a developing incident at Bondi Beach and are urging the public to avoid the area. Anyone at the scene should take shelter. Police are on scene and more information will be provided when it comes to hand.”
