Chase Stokes Debuts Cryptic Tattoo Weeks After Kelsea Ballerini Breakup

No fig deal, but Chase Stokes just got a new tattoo.

Weeks after his breakup with Kelsea Ballerini, the Outer Banks star debuted ink inspired by a Bible passage across the back of his shoulders. As seen in Instagram photos shared by tattoo artist Daniel Winter March 12, Chase’s latest body art read in a delicate script, “They will judge us by our fruit.”

The quote appears to be a reference to Matthew 7:16, in which Jesus Christ cautioned his disciples about people’s actions, not their words.

The new ink adds to Chase’s already-expansive tattoo collection, which includes a matching Virgo star sign with his ex Kelsea.

“I spilled it on here that we have matching tattoos, so we can’t break up,” Kelsea quipped to Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper during a November 2023 episode. “We got them like three weeks ago. It’s like the littlest thing you’ll ever see in your life.”
