Widely shared by right-wing social media handles a couple of days ago, the viral video clip, which showed former Pakistan minister Bilawal Bhutto berating India in Pakistan Parliament and claiming they have their MPs in Lok Sabha, is fake, Pakistan media reported.
According to a fact-check conducted by Pakistani daily Dawn, the audio of the viral video has been doctored. In the viral video, Bilawal Bhutto is seen speaking in Pakistan’s Parliament against India in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.
In split screen, the clip also has an image of MP Gaurav Gogoi, the Congress MP from Parliament who initiated the discussion from opposition during the marathon debate on Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor in Lok Sabha. Gogoi is also facing allegations of making multiple trips to Pakistan.
The video went viral earlier this week, even prompting Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju to tweet, “Why did a Pakistani Politician say, ‘Our People are sitting in India’s Parliament'”? Rijiju later also shared a video of former Union minister Mani Shankar Aiyar and tweeted, “Inside the parliament and outside the parliament too!”
However, according to Dawn, the viral video is fake and the audio of Bhutto saying, “Our MPs in the Indian Parliament” was doctored. “Reviewing the alleged clip via reverse image search showed that Bilawal’s video is actually from May 7, 2025, when he spoke in the National Assembly on the four-day India-Pakistan conflict,” the publication reported. The video is doctored and dubbed over, it added.
