Boy, 11, taken to hospital unconscious after Ang Mo Kio accident

An 11-year-old boy was taken to a hospital unconscious on Sept 5 after he was involved in an accident in Ang Mo Kio.

Responding to queries from The Straits Times, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident near Block 409 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at about 3.30pm.

The accident involved a car and a pedestrian, said the police, adding that the 11-year-old male pedestrian was taken unconscious to hospital.

SCDF identified the hospital as Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

A 71-year-old male driver is assisting with police investigations.
