A viral TikTok video of a group of otters apparently waiting at a Yishun bus stop has delighted and amused netizens.
Captioned “Only in Yishun you can see otters waiting at the bus stop”, the clip, which was posted on Sept 24 by joelreynoldslivin, had 214,800 views, 31,200 reactions and 116 comments at press time.
‘Yishun is always happening’: Netizens
While some netizens celebrated the sight, claiming that ‘Yishun is healing,’ others expressed concern for the otters’ safety. A few even joked that the otters were investigating the alleged murder in Yishun earlier that morning.
“The way I recognised the area as Yishun, I immediately assumed the animals on the ground were dead cats,” one wrote.
“I swear Yishun just got the wildest stuff, bro,” commented another.
Others said they had also spotted the group. “I saw this trio too,” and “3 musketeers,” wrote others, likening the otters to a playful group of adventurers.
‘Be careful, can attack human’
However, other users warned about the aggressiveness of otters.
“Not only in Yishun at Bishan park there got the Bishan otters and the Yishun otters got gang one then they fight,” one commented.
Another user posted a screenshot of what looks like a school notice about recent otter sighting at Yishun Innova Junior Collage (YIJC) school compound, claiming that “these otters ate my sch fish.”
