A man was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen at about 7.50pm on June 13 at Block 467B Yishun Avenue 6.
A resident told Shin Min Daily News that the man was her neighbour and that the man was with his two children when the incident occurred.
The man apparently took his children home after he was injured. His children went to the neighbour’s flat to ask for help.
The neighbour rushed over to the man’s flat and saw that he was bleeding rather heavily, his clothes covered with blood.
She put pressure on the wound to staunch the bleeding and got other neighbours to call for an ambulance.
“He didn’t say anything, except that he was in pain, and was sweating. He looked like he was about to go into shock,” said the neighbour.
“I know there are rumours that this was a random attack, but from what I understand, the incident was caused by a relationship dispute.”
The police said a 29-year-old man was conscious when taken to hospital. Police investigations are ongoing.
