Chinese electric vehicle maker Li Auto has launched its first wearable product, the Livis artificial intelligence glasses, marking a bold foray into the rapidly expanding market already crowded by tech giants like Alibaba Group Holding, Huawei Technologies and Xiaomi.<\/p>\n

The device is priced at 1,999 yuan (US$282), but buyers who place an order before December 31 qualify for a 15 per cent rebate via the government-backed subsidy programme, bringing down the price to 1,699 yuan.<\/p>\n

That effectively makes it among the cheapest in China, comparable with Huawei Eyewear 2, launched in 2023 by telecoms giant Huawei Technologies, which starts at 1,699 yuan. Alibaba’s Quark G1, introduced last month, and the Xiaomi AI Glasses released in June, are both currently priced at a discounted 1,899 yuan. Alibaba owns the Post.<\/p>\n

Li Auto’s new product, announced on Wednesday, is also among the lightest on the market, weighing 36 grams excluding the lenses.<\/p>\n

Despite its lightweight build, Livis promises robust performance with an impressive battery life of 18.8 hours under normal usage scenarios, and up to 78 hours without use, outperforming rivals.<\/p>\n

The Livis supports smart features similar to its rivals, including taking photos, videos and recording conversations. Notably, it facilitates voice interactions with Li Auto vehicles, such as asking the car to open the trunk.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
