Don’t get it twisted: Shawn Johnson East<\/strong> is not expecting another child.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Olympic gymnast—who shares daughter<\/span> Drew<\/strong>, 6, as well as sons<\/span> Jett<\/strong>, 4, and<\/span> Barrett a.k.a. “Bear,”<\/strong> 2, with husband<\/span> Andrew East<\/strong>—set the record straight about a fourth pregnancy, clarifying that the rumors circulating online are completely false.<\/span><\/p>\n

“SPAM! NOT TRUE AND NOT OUR ACCOUNT HAHAHAHAH,” she wrote in a since-expired Instagram Story on Feb. 26, which was captured by<\/span> People<\/span><\/em>. “This was our announcement for being pregnant with BEAR!!!!!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, the announcement video that Shawn, 34, was referencing came from a 2023 episode of her and Andrew’s joint podcast,<\/span> Couple Things with Shawn and Andrew<\/span><\/em>. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

At the time, the couple—who has been married since 2016—spoke about their third baby on the way, with Shawn noting that she had been pregnant four times already after<\/span> suffering a miscarriage<\/span> during her first pregnancy in 2017. However, it appears her words were taken out of context and<\/span> reposted by a fan on TikTok<\/span> on Feb. 23, leading to the recent confusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
