Nicole Richie<\/strong> and<\/span> Kate Madden<\/strong> had anything but a simple mother-daughter outing.<\/span><\/p>\n

The House of Harlow founder was joined by her and husband<\/span> Joel Madden<\/strong>’s eldest child for the May 18 Los Angeles premiere of her new film,<\/span> Stop! That! Train!<\/span><\/em>, marking the duo’s first red carpet appearance together in over two years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two kept it fashionable on the<\/span> red carpet<\/span> with Nicole, 44, wearing a navy and white polka dot dress with a matching head scarf and fur trimmed white coat. Kate, 18, opted for a short and strapless leather dress, finishing off her look with leather boots.<\/span><\/p>\n

And Nicole was clearly delighted to have been joined by her daughter for the premiere, posting several snaps on<\/span> Instagram<\/span> May 19 and writing in the caption, “STOP THAT TRAIN Premiere turned girls night out.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The outing was also Kate’s first public outing<\/span> since her mom confirmed<\/span> that she has chosen to go by her middle name instead of her first name,<\/span> Harlow<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
