(Photo by Tran Kien\/Xinhua)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>HANOI, June 12 (Xinhua) &mdash; Vietnam&rsquo;s auto sales topped 156,700 vehicles in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent, the Vietnam News Agency reported Friday, citing the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers&rsquo; Association.<\/p>\n<p>Passenger vehicles remained the dominant segment with over 103,800 units sold, up 13 percent, while commercial vehicle sales rose 32 percent to 50,270 units, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly, hybrid sales during the five months surged 80 percent year on year to 8,518 vehicles, emerging as one of the strongest growth drivers in the country&rsquo;s vehicle electrification trend. <span>&#9632;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><sub><\/sub><\/p>\n<div>Vietnam&rsquo;s auto sales jump 20 pct in 5 months of 2026<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vehicles run on a street in Hanoi, Vietnam, June 12, 2026.
