Alec Baldwin<\/strong>‘s goal for his kids isn’t impossible. <\/p>\n

The Mission: Impossible–Rogue Nation<\/em> actor shared the powerful message he’s instilling in his and wife Hilaria Baldwin<\/strong>‘s children: Carmen<\/strong>, 12, Rafael<\/strong>, 10, Leonardo<\/strong>, 9, Romeo<\/strong>, 8, Eduardo<\/strong>, 5, Maria Lucia<\/strong>, 5, and Ilaria<\/strong>, 3.<\/p>\n

“I want my kids to grow up having hope,” Alec exclusively told E! News at the premiere of the documentary Gaslit<\/em> June 12, “because right now it’s more hopeless than I’ve ever seen.”<\/p>\n

The political activist—who is also dad to daughter Ireland<\/strong>, 30, with ex-wife Kim Basinger<\/strong>—continued, “We’ve got to continue to fight to prove to our children that you got to keep fighting. You got to have hope, and you got to keep fighting to take the reins of power in our society, and that responsibility—that awesome responsibility—away from people who are going to abuse it.”<\/p>\n

On a less serious note, Alec, 68, went on to joke that he previously aspired for his children to reach a different goal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
