China’s output of industrial robots surged 35.6 per cent from a year earlier to 369,316 units in the first six months of 2025, while production of service robots rose 25.5 per cent to 8.8 million units, according to data released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics.<\/p>\n

In the same month, the company achieved unicorn status – referring to when a start-up’s valuation exceeds US$1 billion – after it completed a new funding round, with backers that included Alibaba Group Holding<\/span> and fintech<\/span> affiliate Ant Group<\/span>, Tencent Holdings<\/span>, carmaker Geely<\/span> and ByteDance<\/span>-linked Jinqiu Capital.
