{"id":5707,"date":"2025-08-25T16:32:01","date_gmt":"2025-08-25T16:32:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobuzo.com\/en\/more-sia-krisflyer-miles-needed-to-redeem-flights-or-upgrade-seats-to-europe-us\/"},"modified":"2025-08-25T16:32:01","modified_gmt":"2025-08-25T16:32:01","slug":"more-sia-krisflyer-miles-needed-to-redeem-flights-or-upgrade-seats-to-europe-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jobuzo.com\/en\/more-sia-krisflyer-miles-needed-to-redeem-flights-or-upgrade-seats-to-europe-us\/","title":{"rendered":"More SIA KrisFlyer miles needed to redeem flights or upgrade seats to Europe, US"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">From Nov 1, travellers will need to spend more air miles to redeem air tickets or upgrade their seats on certain flights through Singapore Airlines&rsquo; frequent flier programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">But they will have a new redemption option &ndash; called Access &ndash; to secure seats on their preferred flights, using air miles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">The flag carrier announced a slew of changes to its rewards programme KrisFlyer on Aug 25, including a new way to earn points towards upgrading one&rsquo;s status tiers within the programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">From Nov 1, air miles needed to redeem or upgrade several types of flights will increase between 5 per cent and 20 per cent:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-inside list-disc font-secondary text-grayscale-800\">\n<li>Europe and the US: Saver award rates to increase by 5 per cent across all cabin classes<\/li>\n<li>Africa, Middle East, Turkey: Award rates to go up by 10 per cent to 20 per cent<\/li>\n<li>Asia, south-west Pacific: Saver award rates for business and first\/suites classes to increase by 5 per cent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"font-secondary text-18 font-normal leading-1.5 text-grayscale-800\">Advantage award rates across all zones and cabin classes &ndash; except for Africa, Middle East and Turkey &ndash; will go up by 10 per cent to 15 per cent.
