Launched on Thursday, Beijing BOE Robot has a registered capital of 200 million yuan (US$28 million), according to corporate data provider Qichacha.<\/p>\n

The subsidiary was described as a developer of industrial robots and AI software, joining other major manufacturers that are pursuing robotics-related development projects.<\/p>\n

BOE’s shares in Shenzhen<\/span> gained 0.49 per cent to close at 4.12 yuan on Monday.<\/div>\n

The company’s push into robotics reflects China’s position as the world’s largest market for industrial robots last year.<\/p>\n

According to a report released last week by the International Federation of Robotics, China accounted for 54 per cent of global industrial robot deployments in 2024.<\/p>\n

The report said China installed 295,000 industrial robots last year – the highest annual total on record – with domestic firms selling more in their home country than foreign suppliers for the first time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
