A man was caught on camera taking a parcel from outside a Tampines flat on Oct 5.<\/p>\n

Thinking he was a thief, Stomper L made a police report about her stolen delivery, but later found out it was a mistake.<\/p>\n

“I have an interesting case,” said the Stomper, who shared CCTV footage of the man walking outside her flat.<\/p>\n

He appeared to be receiving instructions from someone on the phone to go to a specific residential unit and grab a box outside the unit.<\/p>\n

“My parcel was stolen,” claimed the Stomper.<\/p>\n

The box contained 98 laundry pods, which she ordered from Shopee for $9.<\/p>\n

“I bought it at an excellent price, but a few days later, the price was corrected to $49,” she said.<\/p>\n

Her theory: The seller priced the product wrongly and sent someone to collect it back.<\/p>\n

“I thought it was cheap because it was expiring, which we didn’t mind,” said the Stomper.<\/p>\n

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirmed that a report was lodged, adding that investigations were ongoing.<\/p>\n

On Oct 22, the Stomper updated that after investigating, the police explained to her what had actually happened.<\/p>\n

The delivery man in the video had picked up her parcel by mistake because he was given the wrong address.<\/p>\n

“So this guy is innocent,” she said. “It was all a misunderstanding.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Stomper still hopes she’ll get her laundry pods back eventually.<\/p>\n

“Then there will be some closure,” she said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
