six years after tying the knot.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, the pair were married on 31 Oct 2018 and had maintained a close and loving relationship.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_666856\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"33\"><noscript><\/noscript>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-666856\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Helgy on Canva, for illustration purposes only<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, during a recent review of their household registration records, the husband discovered that his grandmother and his wife&rsquo;s grandmother were biological sisters born to the same parents.<\/p>\n<p>This meant the two were second cousins, a relationship classified as within the sixth degree of kinship.<\/p>\n<h3>Marriage within 6th degree of kinship prohibited<\/h3>\n<p>Under Article 983 of Taiwan&rsquo;s Civil Code, marriages between relatives within the sixth degree of collateral kinship are prohibited and considered legally void.<\/p>\n<div class=\"internal-linking-related-contents\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jobuzo.com\/en\/12-weeks-jail-for-school-it-support-technician-who-took-upskirt-videos-of-teachers\/\" class=\"template-1\"><span class=\"cta\">News :<\/span><span class=\"postTitle\">&lt;div&gt;12 weeks' jail for school IT support technician who took upskirt videos of teachers&lt;\/div&gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div><p>In other words, their marriage had been invalid from the start.<\/p>\n<p>Because the matter affected their legal marital status &mdash;
