Base Location: Flexible UK & Ireland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around the UK and Ireland.

Salary: £53,681 - £62,405 and a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

About the Role

The Digital Ventures team has a single mission - "to help everyone in the SSE Renewables business access and use the digital tools and services they need to be able to fly". We do this by driving cultural change towards a digital-first mindset, providing access to advanced data services, and taking a disruptive approach to innovation. Our entrepreneurial attitude is what sets us apart and allows us to try what others may fear to.

The Renewables Digital PM will be at the forefront of digital innovation and delivery within the SSE Renewables business, working with large stakeholder groups across onshore wind, offshore wind, and hydro.

As a Renewables Digital PM, you will be presented with opportunities to influence operational changes within SSE Renewables – and potentially the renewables industry across the world – as the company progresses towards achieving our target of net zero emissions by 2050.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forming and leading cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment to deliver innovative digital projects across the SSE Renewables business.
  • Ensuring digitalisation projects are executed at high levels of quality, empowering our people, and achieving impact agreed.
  • Coordinating a wide group of stakeholders through change initiatives, including external third-party providers, process owners and business SMEs.
  • Full end-to-end project leadership.
  • Creating an environment for results and actions whilst ensuring an upbeat and motivated project team.

What do I need?

The most important personal characteristic required for this role is to have an entrepreneurial mindset and desire to challenge the status quo and influence change.

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and enterprising attitude.
  • Qualifications or experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Agile Project Management or Scum Mastery.
  • Lean Six Sigma (green belt minimum).
  • Working within a technology function.
  • Previous experience of delivering business change projects.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively as part of a cross location team.
  • A self-motivated, solution orientated, “can do” attitude to problem solving and action completion.
