We are currently advertising for several permanent and fixed term positions and it is likely that further vacancies will arise within the next 6 months across all teams. We are therefore looking to create an appointable pool of candidates to fill these vacancies. If you meet the standard for the appointment, but you are not offered a role in the first instance, you will join the pool for six months. When further permanent or fixed term opportunities arise, you'll have a guaranteed interview without the need for a further application. Please note that permanent positions will be offered to the highest scoring candidates followed by the fixed term positions in a scale of highest to lowest score above the cut off mark at interview.

The GMC is happy to support a range of flexible working options. Flexible working requests will be considered in line with the policy. As with our usual arrangements we will be able to offer up to two working from home days per week once training has been completed.

The GMC has committed to the Disability Confident employer scheme and supports the requirements of the Disability Confident interview scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role as outlined in the person specification document, you will be offered an interview.

If you are interested in applying for this role, please submit a CV and a cover letter of no more than 2 pages which demonstrates your reason for applying and a summary of how you can meet the essential skills listed in the job description.

We strongly believe that diversity of background and experience contributes to a broader collective perspective that will consistently lead to us being a better regulator. We are working hard to increase the diversity of our staff, and also the diversity of those we work with wherever we can, and we would actively encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to apply.

We believe that providing an inclusive, supportive and caring working environment as an employer is just as important as it is in healthcare settings – our working environment is inclusive and caring, with wellbeing at the front and centre of our approach and you can read more about this here.
