About the Role

This role will be the technical counterpart to customer engineering teams for the RFQ projects as well awarded ones. This role will also conduct troubleshooting, validation, and requirements analysis. Work location is in Seoul, Korea and support communication between Hyundai Motors and Harman global/local team members.

Your Team

The Associate System Engineer will report to the Sr. Manager of Automotive division in Korea and will typically be assigned to multiple projects. 

What You Will Do

• A customer interface for Amplifier development and integration on assigned new product development projects.
• Create, negotiate, and define scope of Amp System/SW applications with customer.
• Analyzes, clarifies customer change requests, and fill the gaps to deliver to the engineering team.
• Present to customer and make a technical negotiation with customer if needed.
• Support technical meetings with customer to represent Harman engineering team.
• Responds customer's technical questions as a technical contact.
• Create and present Problem-Solving report to customer with the development team’s support.
• Support software release process, product verification, vehicle-level validation, and customer technical support.
• Carry out initial troubleshooting, data collection, and triage of any issues from customer vehicles, and/or manufacturing plants.
• Rework/Reflash parts in customer site including upgrading part software, tool script development.
• Customer Quality Audit (Proto, M/C, P1, P2) support
• Customer Cyber-security audit support
• Joint evaluation with customer - vehicle level evaluation during development, production issue, and filed issues.

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must have excellent communication skill in English (written and verbal).
• More than 2+ years’ experience preferred in embedded system software development in C/C++.
• More than 2+ years’ experience preferred in Automotive field, especially Hyundai Motor Company.
• Audio/Multimedia/DSP software development experience preferred.
• Automotive CAN communication experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and circuit design experience preferred.

What is Nice to Have

• Master degree of Science and Engineering.
• Experience in Automotive OEM/Company more than 3years.
• Audio/Multimedia/DSP software development experience with C/C++.
• Greater English communication skills are plus.

• Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time both domestic and international.
• Willingness to work in an office in Seoul, Korea.
