US President Donald Trump went on to his Truth Social account and made a variety of posts ranging from jailing politicians, Tulsi Gabbard’s announcement, and a video that showed Obama being arrested. The video has now gone viral on social media.
The 45-second video, set to the song YMCA, opens with real footage of Obama stating, “especially the President is above the law.” Other high-profile Democrats, including Joe Biden, are then shown saying, “No one is above the law.”
The video cuts to Pepe the Frog, a character that has been widely used on the internet by right-wing supporters.
Then the video cuts to a sequence of Obama being arrested by the FBI in the Oval Office in a scene that was recreated from their real meeting in November of 2016. Obama is shown in an orange prison jumpsuit at the end of the video.
The video was posted after the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, claimed that they uncovered a treasonous conspiracy that said that the Obama administration fanned the flames of theories that stated that Trump was backed by Russia in the 2016 elections, according to The Daily Beast. Gabbard claimed that Obama and his cabinet “politicised intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump.” Gabbard’s announcement comes at a time when it’s seen with scepticism even by MAGA supporters as the Trump administration tries to deal with the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Trump posted about Gabbard’s announcement at least 17 times since Friday.
The US president has been on a social media rave, posting everything from talking about jailing political opponents to promoting the book from a Fox News ally and posting about a debunked video collage where a woman catches a King Cobra with her bare hands in South Africa.
He also posted about a series of graphics that celebrated his 6 months of winning.
Gabbard claimed that newly declassified documents were evidence that Obama and some of his cabinet members “politicised intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump.”
He also made posts that depicted various officials from the Obama administration, James Comey, Samantha Power, and Susan Rice, who were all depicted as wearing jumpsuits.
In a Supreme Court ruling last year, it was held that Presidents have immunity from prosecution while in office, shielding Trump for his actions.
