‘Charlie’s Angels’: Malaysian female bodyguards impress with slick move during Asean Summit

Two Malaysian female bodyguards have captured public attention after a video showed them jumping onto a moving SUV while escorting foreign delegates during the 47th Asean Summit.

The short clip, which surfaced on Oct 26, shows the women – both dressed in formal suits with black jackets – sprinting after a moving sport utility vehicle. Each guard opens a back door before leaping onto the car, standing on the sides with the doors ajar as it continues to move.

The slick manoeuvre, which could have been lifted straight out of an action movie, has drawn widespread admiration online for the women’s agility and composure.

Uploaded by TikTok user @lang131499, the video has since gone viral, attracting more than 366,000 views and over 1,100 comments.

Many users praised the officers for their discipline and poise under pressure, others were impressed by their display of speed, strength and precision.

“Fainted while watching the policewomen jump onto the car. Great Malaysian forces,” wrote user Kak_Sha.

Another comment by @randy___261 read: “I keep replaying the part with the female bodyguards. Lately, I’ve only seen male bodyguards. They are on another level – must be from an elite unit. Good job, Charlie’s Angels.”

Charlie’s Angels was an American TV series about three female private detectives in Los Angeles that ran from 1976 to 1981. It was later reprised into three movies in 2000, 2003 and 2019.
