American YouTuber Cory DeVante Williams, known online as CoryxKenshin, finds himself in the middle of a storm after being accused of “love-bombing” and “gaslighting” on purpose.
It is a TikTok user, @pandaninjaxxofficial, that has come up with the allegations against the YouTuber, who has over 2.25 crore subscribers. The user also clarified that sexual abuse was not among the allegations levelled against CoryxKenshin. However, she went to the extent of saying that the kind of good guy/positive image Williams enjoyed on the internet made her private suffering tougher as it compelled her to conceal her difficulties.
Who is CoryxKenshin?
Primarily known for his comedic playthroughs of horror games, CoryxKenshin also has a series called “Spooky Scary Sunday” where he reacts to horror short films. Beyond horror games, the 32-year-old plays other types of video games, including big-budget “triple-A” games like Elden Ring. His content is characterised by his energetic and light-hearted personality and humour. He is also known for taking breaks from uploading videos periodically.
Emotional damge allegeations against CoryxKenshin
The woman TikToker alleged that she felt he was too controlling and hurt her feelings during “a hidden relationship” with the YouTube star. In three videos that have gone viral on the social media platform, @pandaninjaxxofficial stated that despite his kind online persona, he treated her poorly in private. This made her feel alone and isolated, and too scared to speak up. And when she finally found the strength to speak up, he made her feel like she was at fault. Among the words used by the female user to describe the influencer’s methods to keep her quiet and under his control were “love-bombing, gaslighting, and hurting her feelings on purpose,” reports said.
CoryxKenshin has not yet commented on the matter.
