Erika Kirk, wife of slain Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, has broken her silence after the NGO’s disappointing ‘The All-American Halftime Show’.
Erika, who did not make an appearance at the show that was broadcast as an alternative to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show, took a jibe at the Puerto Rican singer, stating, “It was okay to love Jesus and your country.”
“The @TPUSA All-American Halftime Show was so incredible. Charlie would’ve absolutely loved it. Thank you to the millions that tuned in,” she wrote, adding that she was so proud of our entire team, staff, and the artists who believed in the vision and mission.
“It’s okay to love Jesus and your country. Ultimately, this is what it’s all about, making Heaven crowded,” she said, while paying tribute to her slain husband, who was fatally shot in September 2025.
Many views Erika’s remark on X as a jibe at Bad Bunny, who gave an electric yet emotional performance that celebrated his native Puerto Rico. The TPUSA event, which concluded with a montage dedicated to Charlie Kirk, was announced following conservative criticism of Bad Bunny’s selection.
The ‘All-American Halftime Show’ garnered only approximately 4.5 million views despite being backed by White House and President Donald Trump himself. The conservative show had Kid Rock headlining it.
Though the Super Bowl is yet to release the official figures for the Bad Bunny event, last year’s event saw an epic 127.7 million people tune in.
An official YouGov survey released on Friday found that 35 per cent of viewers preferred Bad Bunny’s performance compared to just 28 per cent who were interested in Turning Point USA’s event.
