We’ve got a bit more to bring you from Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Davos now, who paused to speak to reporters after his speech and Q&A.
He says both Russia and Ukraine should make compromises.
Zelenskyy says if all sides cooperate, the war could be ended, but not if someone – he doesn’t specify who – “plays games”.
When asked if Ukraine has been ignored this week, Zelenskyy says:
“It’s not ignored, there have been a lot of different challenges in Davos… but if you forget about the war, it won’t be solved… it’s understandable leaders have to think about a lot of problems.”
Here’s what else we learned from the Ukrainian leader as he spoke to reporters:
- The security guarantees document is finished and requires agreement from all sides;
- Tomorrow’s trilateral US-Ukraine-Russia meeting is a “positive” step;
- The territorial issue is “not yet solved”;
- And Europe needs to make some “strong decisions”.
