Graphics: China leads ASEAN partnership for 16 years

The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo will be held from September 17 to 21, 2025 in Nanning, south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. 

ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) remains a key economic partner for China. Chin has been ASEAN’s largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, while ASEAN has been China’s top trading partner for five years in a row. 

Trade with ASEAN accounts for 16.7 percent of China’s total foreign trade, highlighting the region’s pivotal role in China’s global economic ties.
