Attention in court now turns to Nicolas Maduro’s wife, Cilia Flores, who is asked to stand and confirm her name.
“Yes, I am Cilia Flores Maduro, I am the first lady of Venezuela,” she tells the court.
That’s a similar tone to Maduro, who made a point of describing himself as the Venezuelan president in the courtroom.
Flores also pleads not guilty to the charges – adding she is “completely innocent”.
As a reminder, answers from both Flores and Maduro are being given in Spanish and then being translated.
Maduro says he is ‘decent man’ and not guilty, telling judge: ‘I am still president of my country’
