A vegetation fire dubbed the “Springs Fire” is currently burning in Moreno Valley, California. According to Incident Command, the blaze has grown to approximately 50 acres and has the potential to expand to 1,000 acres. It is being driven by winds, and has crossed Gilman Springs Road. Multiple fire crews are on scene working to contain the fire.
Smoke from the blaze is visible across Riverside, Perris and Beaumont.
Evacuation updates
Incident Command has requested evacuation orders for zones RVC-0826, RVC-0748 and MOE-0507.
Evacuation warnings have also been issued for zones MOE-0504, MOE-0505, MOE-0641, MOE-0640 and RVC-0825.
