‘No political leader’s family has ever…’: Imran Khan’s final post against Asim Munir resurfaces amid death rumours

Posted on 28 November 2025 By jobuzo

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s final post on social media has resurfaced amid rumours about his death in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. There has been no word from the former cricketer ever since the X post appeared 24 days ago.

In the post he lashed out at the Pakistani army chief. “Asim Munir is the most oppressive dictator in Pakistan’s history and a mentally unstable man. The extent of tyranny under his rule is unprecedented…. Munir, in his lust for power, is capable of doing anything,” read the post from Imran’s official handle on November 4.

He said Munir has done everything to harm him and his wife. “No political leader’s family has ever faced such cruelty. I want to make it absolutely clear once again — no matter what he does, I will neither bow down nor submit to him,” Imran added.

No new photos or videos of Imran has been released after the post nor has he been seen publicly ever since.

Imran’s son Kasim Khan said they have not been allowed to access him for a long time, forcing the family to demand “proof of life”. Kasim said his father was kept in a “death cell with zero transparency”.

Not just meetings, the family has also been denied phone calls or signed notes from Imran.

The Pakistani authorities have also stopped doctors and lawyers from meeting the former PM. Senior leaders from his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), have also been turned away from the prison.

There were rumours that Imran was “brutally assaulted” by police after he sought a meeting with his family members last week. However, Pakistani police have refuted the rumours. This has triggered speculations about Imran’s real condition, including death rumours.

Kasim alleged that the government will held accountable “legally, morally and internationally”. He called on the global community to “intervene urgently”.
