Russia’s top general says Moscow’s forces advancing along entire front

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukraine will share an updated peace plan with the US today after talks with European leaders in London yesterday.

Ukraine’s president said the updated plan was now comprised of 20 points, down from 28, after some “obvious anti-Ukrainian points were removed”.

He added there was still no agreement on giving up land – something America believes is necessary for peace, Russia demands but Ukraine and Europe have long resisted.

“We have no legal right – under Ukrainian law, under our constitution, under international law,” Zelenskyy said.

“Honestly, we have no moral right, either.”

One of the most contentious issues in the initial US-brokered 28-point peace plan involved Ukraine making territorial concessions to Russia, including the entirety of Crimea, Luhansk and Donetsk.

Ukraine sending an updated plan to the US comes after Donald Trump’s eldest son warned that his father could walk away from efforts to end the war.

“I think he may,” Donald Trump Jr told our lead world news presenter Yalda Hakim at Doha Forum 2025.

“What’s good about my father and what’s unique about my father is you don’t know what he’s going to do. He’s unpredictable.”

Those comments came after Trump himself said he was “a little disappointed” with Zelenskyy.

He claimed overnight on Sunday that the Ukrainian president hadn’t read the 28-point peace proposal, saying “his people love it”.

“Russia, I guess, would rather have the whole country when you think of it, but Russia is, I believe, fine with it, but I’m not sure that Zelenskyy is fine with it,” he said.
