‘This aunty again’: Woman seen resting her feet on bus handrails

Posted on 20 August 2025 By jobuzo

A woman was caught resting her feet on the handrails of a double-decker bus in a TikTok video that has since gone viral – and it appears that it was not the first time she struck what has become something of a signature pose.

The six-second clip, set against audio from the viral Jet2 holiday commercial, shows her lounging at the back of the lower deck with both her legs raised, and her toes propped on the railings above.

At press time, the video has racked up over 420,000 views and over 560 comments, with many netizens noting that she resembles a woman arrested in 2023 for a similar act.

Many online claimed that the two women are one and the same.

“This aunty again,” a user commented, claiming they had spotted her on the bus before.

Another asked: “same aunty?”, with many pointing out that she seemed to be in the same spot and wearing the same pants as in previous clips.

Not her first time?

The woman in question was said to be the same individual who faced five charges in court on Jul 7.

Channel News Asia reported that she was accused of two counts of public nuisance, two counts of criminal force and harassment for a slew of incidents between Aug 2023 and Aug 2024.

In one case, she put her feet on a pole on bus 198 and refused to put them down.

In another, she was said to have harassed a commuter by cursing at him and hitting him on his inner calf with a walking aid.

Her fifth charge involved hitting a bus driver’s arm.
