WATCH | Trump posts AI video mocking nationwide ‘No Kings’ protesters

U.S. President Donald Trump shared an AI-generated video on Saturday, which showed him wearing a crown and operating a fighter jet with the words “King Trump”. The 19-second video seemed to be an attempt at mocking the “No Kings” protests, which took place nationwide, gathering about 7 million participants.

In the video, Trump is seen operating a fighter jet while wearing a crown. The jet flies over protesters walking through what looks like Times Square and dumps mud (or faeces) over their heads. The video also showed Democrat activist Harry Sisson getting splattered.

Hours before the video was posted, he had spoken to Fox Business and said, “They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,”  They also said that the Democrats should stay out of the government forever so that the president could keep cutting “Democrat priorities”, such as welfare programs.

Later on, he had also posted a screen grab of a post made by JD Vance. In that video, which he posted twice, Trump is shown wearing a crown, a cape, and holding a sword with Democrats kneeling.

News agency AP reported that the US president was spending his weekend at Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

The No-Kings Protests

About 7 million protesters showed up for around 2,700 events in all 50 US states for the “ No Kings” protests on Saturday, according to CNN. The protests were mostly peaceful, and no incidents or arrests were reported.

The demonstrations were aimed at a number of Trump’s policies, including threats to democracy, the ICE raids, and troop deployment in cities, cuts to federal programs, including healthcare.

The protesters also said that the protests were just the beginning of a broader movement to defend Democratic norms against Trump’s autocratic tendencies and anti-democratic actions.
