UN@80: China’s furthest offshore and deepest water wind farm project

Posted on 14 August 2025 By jobuzo

Kate Zhang from China’s Mingyang Smart Energy visits the firm’s Qingzhou IV offshore wind farm.

It’s located 69 km off the coast of Yangjiang City in south China’s Guangdong Province.

Each year, it delivers around 1.83 billion kWh of clean electricity, saving 570,000 tonnes of standard coal.

The OceanX (in V-shape) – the world’s first dual-rotor floating wind platform – can power 30,000 homes annually.
