Ambulance crew lodges police report over car that refused to yield to ambulance

A critical emergency in Thailand was hindered when a car refused to yield to an ambulance for over 2 km, despite the sirens and lights clearly indicating it was an emergency vehicle.

According to Khaosod, the incident occurred at around 7.13pm on Saturday (21 March) in Udon Thani province.

Car driver ignores repeated attempts to move

Dashcam footage from the ambulance shows a BYD vehicle driving at a leisurely pace of about 20 km/h on a narrow road, blocking the ambulance’s path.

Despite the lights and sirens clearly indicating that an ambulance was behind, the vehicle continued to drive at that leisurely pace.
